Gaffney Woman's Body Found In Trash Can; Suspect Charged With Murder


                           
 
            
A woman’s body was found stuffed in a trash can on Sunday morning, according to the Cherokee County Coroner's Office and they now have a person of interest in custody.
The Coroner’s Office tells 7 On Your Side, a relative found 78-year-old Marjorie Knuckles inside a trash can outside her home on Hetty Hill Street in Gaffney.
The victim, Marjorie Knuckles was reported missing by a relative that stated the last communication with her was on January 30th .
On Sunday morning officials received the call that her body had been found.
Gaffney Police are investigating this as a homicide.
Officers have taken her adopted son, Brandon Scott Knuckles, into custody.  Knuckles is being considered a person of interest.
Brandon Knuckles was found at the Homestead Lodge. Marjorie Knuckles' car was parked in parking lot across the street at the Quality Inn.
He's being charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.
