GREENVILLE, SC
Greenville Police are asking for your help to find a wanted man who is wanted for attempted murder.
Javon Mack is wanted for discharging firearms into a dwelling, two counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and unlawful possession of a pistol.
Police say Mack was the subject a manhunt a couple weeks ago from the Augusta area.
Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at 23-Crime.

Charged With Operating A Chop Shop
Lexington County Sheriff’s Department detectives arrested a Columbia man on charges that the man operated a chop shop on North Main Street in Gaston. Sheriff Metts said 45-year-old Vernon Edward Gardner is accused of dismantling two Chevrolet Camaros and two Chevrolet Corvettes that were worth a combined total of more than $300,000. The two Camaros and two Corvettes had been reported stolen from three car dealerships in North Carolina. Gardner was arrested on arrest warrants on one count of operating a chop shop and four counts of possessing a stolen motor vehicle.The report said Gardner operated a chop shop at 252 North Main Street, Gaston. According to Metts, Gardner knowingly stored stolen motor vehicles at the business and dismantled the vehicles in order to make it difficult to identify the vehicles as ones that had been reported stolen.Detectives executed a search warrant on February 13 at Gardner’s chop shop and found that Gardner possessed four motor vehicles worth a combined total of $320,000 that had been reported stolen from North Carolina car dealerships, Metts said. Arrest warrants allege that Gardner possessed two 2013 60th Anniversary Chevrolet Corvettes that had been reported stolen from Everette Chevrolet in Hickory, N.C., one 2013 Chevrolet Camaro reported stolen from Randy Marion Chevrolet in Mooresville, N.C., and one 2013 Chevrolet Camaro reported stolen from McKenney Chevrolet in Lowell, N.C., the report stated.
Sheriff’s deputies began investigating the chop shop after Lexington County Fire Service firefighters responded to a call about items being burned in a pit outside the business on North Main Street, Metts said. Firefighters found that Gardner was burning motor vehicle parts, with a large amount of parts from new motor vehicles arranged in piles near the fire pit. Firefighters reported their findings to the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department.

Officials from several different agencies are looking for three suspects after they managed to get away following a lengthy manhunt Thursday night.
A spokesman for the Greenville County Sheriff's Office says officers called off the manhunt for the suspects, one who is wanted for attempted murder in the city of Greenville. The spokesman says that they believe the suspects managed to escape by meeting someone who was waiting with a car.
The incident started around 9 p.m. after the U.S. Marshals started chasing a car with four people inside, a spokesman with the Greenville Police Department says. The chase continued out of the Greenville city limits and into Greenville County before returning into the city limits on Augusta Street.
According to the sheriff's office spokesman, the suspects’ car was forcibly stopped on Augusta Street by the U.S. Marshals and all four people fled on foot. One person, later identified as Michael Mclean Lee, 17, was caught shortly after running, but Greenville County Sheriff's deputies, Greenville Police officers, U.S. Marshals and Highway Patrol searched for more than an hour-and-a-half looking for the remaining three.
One gun was found in the car, while a second was found outside of the car.
The three remaining suspects on the loose are considered armed and dangerous. One of the men has been identified as Javon Mack, 17. He is the man wanted for attempted murder.
On Friday morning, authorities say Mack, along with another man, stole a vehicle on Augusta Street. Blythe Elementary and Hughes Middle schools were placed on lockdown while officials searched nearby. The lockdown has since been lifted.
Greenville Police consider Mack and the other person he was with, armed and dangerous.
