Matthew Williams and Porsha Gage were Arrested Tuesday at a Spartanburg Hotel on Several Strong Armed Robbery Warrants. The Couple had Just been Released from Prison Earlier this Year.
Both were Previously Arrested in July 2011 and Charged with Criminal Conspiracy, 2 Counts of Armed Robbery and 1 Count of Attempted Armed Robbery, for Crimes in Spartanburg, Union and Greenville counties.
Taylor said, Williams and Gage served time on the charges. He said each of them was sentenced to eight years in 2012, suspended to four years incarceration, four years probation.

ACTUALLY THE FEMALE, GAGE, GOT 8 Y SUSPENDED TO 4 YEARS. THE MALE, WILLIAMS, ONLY GOT - 10 YEARS SUSPENDED TO TIME SERVED AND 30 MONTHS PROBATION .... ?? .... ( see below criminal records ) IF THE SHERIFF KNEW THAT HE'D BE REALLY MAD. AND AGAIN RIGHTFULLY SO. ..... IT APPEARS THE FEMALE TOOK A QUICK PLEA DEAL AND GOT 8 Y. SUSPENDED TO 4 Y. PRISON TIME. HOWEVER, BEING A CAREER CRIMINAL WILLIAMS THE MALE KNEW TO HOLD OUT FOR LESS TIME. SHE WAS SENTENCED IN UNDER 11 MONTHS. HE WAITED FOR OVER A YEAR BEFORE TAKING A SWEET DEAL AND " NO " PRISON TIME FOR ARMED ROBBERY .... PROSECUTORS AT THEIR BEST .... IDIOTS ....

Williams was released on March 21. Gage was released on Jan 31, 2014
"This is a perfect example of a judicial system that is broke," Taylor said during a press conference on Wednesday.
The Two are Connected to Robberies in At Least 5 Upstate Counties including Spartanburg, Greenwood, Laurens, Greenville and Union Counties Since Their Release.
Williams and Gage Mainly Robbed Check Cashing Businesses and at least 1 Dollar General Store.
"I'd like to see people go to jail and stay there. They can't adapt to society. They get out in less than two years and they're right back robbing the same places they robbed two years ago," Sheriff David Taylor said.
