One Dead At Motel After Explosion // Quality Inn @ Suites // UPDATE : VICTIM MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHER ... LAURIE PATTON

 There was an Explosion at a Motel in Greenville Monday. One Lady

was found Dead inside. ( pictured men in haz. mat gear. )

Now it has turned into a Murder Investigation. Victim has yet to be ID.

  Woman found Dead after a Motel Fire in Greenville has been Identified as an Upstate Teacher -- and now a man is being questioned in Georgia in connection to Her Death.

   Identified as 39-year-old Laurie Patton, was a Berea Middle School Teacher.

 Patton was Found Dead early Monday after guests at the Quality Inn and Suites on South Pleasantburg Drive near Mauldin Road reported an Explosion and Fire in Her Room.

 Police believe a Fire was likely set to Destroy Evidence. The Explosion guests thought they heard was likely the sound of shattering glass as someone tried to get to the Victim.

 Tuesday morning, Greenville County Coroner Parks Evans said, "We would be safe to say we are investigating this as a homicide at this point."

 The Condition of the Body, the Fire in the Room is Very Suspicious, Leading Investigators to Believe the Death is a Homicide ...

Deputies in Georgia are questioning a Man who was Stopped while He was Driving the Dead Womans Car. The Car is Registered to Laurie Patton.  She is also believed to have Rented the Room at the Quality Inn where the Fatal Fire Happened.

Banks County, Ga., deputies said, ' Darrin Terrell Eskew, of Greenville, was pulled over on I - 85. Eskew was going 30 mph when the Posted Speed Limit is 70 mph. '
