A School Resource Office at West-Oak High School received information Monday after a volleyball game about a party that had taken place at a home on Rodgers Road in Seneca late Saturday night and early Sunday morning. The officer received information that a student who attends the school may have been sexually assaulted at the party. After meeting with the victim, the officer noticed injuries to the victim and the case was turned over to sheriff's office investigators. 18-year-old Tyler Joseph Normandin, of Fair Play; 17-year-old Brandon Peralta, of Seneca; three unidentified 16-year-old's and a unidentified 15-year-old were Arrested and Charged in connection with the attack, which allegedly occurred on October 12.
Warrants Show that Normandin is accused of enticing, advising, inviting, ordering and encouraging others to perform the sexual assault on the teenage victim while she was helpless or mentally incapacitated. The warrants further state that Peralta engaged in sexual intercourse with the victim by using force or coercion while knowing that she was helpless, mentally incapacitated or mentally defective.
