Kohlhepp confessed that he killed Beverly Guy, Scott Ponder, Brian Lucas and Chris Sherbert in November 2003 at Superbike Motorsports.
He confessed to the Superbike Motorsports killings after investigators found Kala Brown, a woman who had been reported missing, on Nov. 4, 2017, chained inside a storage container on Kohlhepp’s property in rural Woodruff. She had been reported missing two months before. In the days that followed, authorities also found the bodies of Brown's boyfriend, Charlie Carver, and Meagan and Johnny Coxie buried on Kohlhelpp's property.
In the series, filmmaker and investigative journalist Maria Awes got access to Kohlheep from prison.
“With the help of former FBI profiler John Douglas and Kohlhepp’s own biographer, Gary Garrett, Awes goes down a twisted path, talking to Kohlhepp’s family, as well as his victims and their families, uncovering early warning signs that might have helped stop a killer in his tracks,” the show’s website says.
"Serial Killer: Devil Unchained" premieres Monday from 9 to 11 p.m. on Investigation Discovery.

“With unique access to this convicted murderer and rapist, 'SERIAL KILLER: DEVIL UNCHAINED' reveals the disturbing truth behind the depraved mentality of a monster,” said Henry Schleiff, group president of Investigation Discovery, Travel Channel, American Heroes Channel and Destination America. “This limited series slowly unveils the shocking extent of this serial murderer's crimes, exposing the depth of his evil, while revealing instances where early warning signs might have prevented multiple gruesome and tragic deaths.”
