Chesterfield Co. man sentenced 45 years for killing man whose body was never found
South Carolina Circuit Court Judge Michael Nettles sentenced Andre Junior Covington to 45 years in prison after a jury convicted him for murder last week in the disappearance of Terris Parson, according to a news release.
The release said Parson’s car was captured on surveillance video arriving at Covington’s house on Chapman Street in Cheraw around 9:18pm on June 2, 2019.
Parsons and Covington had been "communicating that evening and text messages established that Parson was supposed to meet Covington that night. Surveillance cameras throughout Cheraw captured Parson’s Buick Lacrosse and Covington’s Ford Mustang."
Officials with the Fourth Circuit Solicitor's Office said the surveillance footage "aided the investigation and exposed inconsistencies in Covington’s statements to Cheraw Police Department."
