Incredible. Media should do an in-depth look at the injustices in the justice system's sentencing in S.C. I know a person who got ten years for stealing a small amount from their employer. Meanwhile, this cold-blooded killer gets 7 years and will be out in 5. Just like the man who shot his wife to death in their store on 544 and received 4 years. He took someone else's life but in five years, his life is going back to normal. It makes no sense. No amount of time in jail will change the situation or bring Dalton back, but five years is a slap on the wrist and a "don't do it again". This guy has been a troublemaker since we were in middle school. I remember him picking fights with random people in the hallways, throwing stuff at teachers during class, just overall being a bad kid. It makes me so mad.

I know of the case but honestly do not know all off the details. It does sound like someone Did not completely do their job or someone did not follow through. Even if he is mentally ill then he should be placed once released. He was not charged or prosecuted for sterling a 12 year old girl. If he was being chased for this reason defending yourself does not apply. Lastly he was chatting a kitchen knife as a weapon. That is another charge that seems to have been over looked. In cases like this we should hold our court system at fault for not using all of their resources to assure justice and to keep someone like this from being on the streets later. I understand his situation and I feel for all involved this is just my opinion it is sad our court systems go full force for petty crimes and let things like this happen.Reply · Like · Follow Post · 45 minutes ago
