Former Prison Guard Sues Cellphone Companies Over Shooting ....

Former SC Prison Guard Suing Cellphone Companies

(  We have often wrote on this Blog about Inmates having
Cellphones. This has to stop. Tougher Laws for Poss. a
Cell while in Prison. And the FCC needs to allow Blocking
     of this practice.  )

                      (South Carolina Department of Corrections)
A former South Carolina prison guard wounded in a Hit authorities say was orchestrated by Inmates using Smuggled Cellphones is Suing Mobile Phone Service Providers. Robert Johnson, is suing 20 cellphone companies and cellular tower owners. The lawsuit accuses the companies of being able to block inmate calls at Lee Correctional Institution in Bishopville but failing to do so.
Johnson was a Corrections Department veteran who oversaw efforts to keep contraband out of Lee. He was shot six times at his Sumter home in 2010, requiring months of rehabilitation and surgeries. He retired in 2011. Was lucky to survive the attack. Authorities say the hit was organized by inmates using smuggled cellphones. More than 3,100 contraband cellphones were confiscated from South Carolina prisons last year.

WE WISH HIM GOOD LUCK. BUT WE WOULDN'T GET OUR HOPES UP.
