GREENVILLE, S.C. -- Police have arrested a man accused of stealing a vehicle, breaking into property and firing a gun at the homeowner in Greenville Thursday.
Investigators say it happened on Prentiss Avenue when Kevin Allen Nelson, 20, broke into a pool house when the owner confronted him. He then pointed a gun at the homeowner and started firing into the home. No injuries were reported during the shooting.
Police later found out that he drove to the residence in a stolen rental car.
Nelson has been charged with attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, pointing and presenting, discharging into a dwelling, and receiving or possessing a stolen vehicle.
He is being held at the Greenville County Detention Center.
